Empresa Portuaria de Valparaiso is a State Owned Autonomous Company created by Law No. 19,542, published in the Official Gazette on December 19, 1997, which regulates open stock corporations.

Its purpose is to manage, operate, develop and preserve the port of Valparaiso, and its properties, including all related activities inherent TO the port area and indispensable to their proper performance.

The mission of Valparaiso Port Company is to attract freighters, investors and citizens to the Puerto Valparaiso.

EPV must be a leader in the national port sector in its management of infrastructure, port facilitation and development as it relates to the city and the environment.
